Feed yards, pig farms, dairies all have one thing in common in that they utilize a lagoon system to dispose of excrement. These lagoons cause their own problems with contaminated water and odors. Furthermore, even under the best circumstances, often the waste left over after the lagoon fills is scraped out and may be unusable as a compost or fertilizer due to the high concentration of phosphates, ammonia, and toxic chemicals used to try to alleviate the odors. Companies have to be paid to haul off the piles of lagoon “fill” and treat them to make the dirt usable again. This process is expensive and if not completed, can become a problem with the EPA.

Utilizing a special biological blend of Bactifeed, we can metabolize and digest the excrement, which allows it to sink to the bottom, which will ultimately reduce the odor and clear the water. This water can be used to washdown dairy parlors and pig barns, and the water will be filled with bacteria that will help eliminate fecal matter from pig pits, excrement trough walls, and floors. Digestion and breakdown of lagoons also helps to provide a much more eco friendly silt on the bottom of the lagoon, that when scraped out, becomes a usable compost that can be sold by creating a living eco system inside the lagoon, much like the soil product.
